What a notice should contain

- Case number, reference number, or identifying details
- Applicable legal basis
- Date of issue
- Requested response deadline
- Specific account, vacancy, listing, message, or record involved
- URLs, identifiers, or screenshots where available
- Clear description of the requested action
- Scope of any preservation, disclosure, or takedown request
- Signed copy of the notice and supporting documents, where applicable
Privacy and lawful requests
A legal notice does not automatically entitle any person to access private candidate documents, messages, or other confidential records. Each request must be reviewed for authority, scope, authenticity, applicable law, and privacy requirements.
