Project Crew ("we", "our", "us") respects your privacy and is committed to protecting your personal data. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, store and protect information when you use the Project Crew mobile application, website and related services (collectively, the "Platform").
By using the Platform, you agree to the practices described in this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Platform.
This Privacy Policy is intended to be aligned with the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 ("DPDP Act") as reflected in the official text published on India Code and the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology materials.
1. Information we collect
We may collect the following categories of personal data:
- Account information: name, email address, account role, company membership, recruiter membership, login details and settings.
- Candidate information: profession, experience, skills, location, salary expectations, availability, education, work history and portfolio details.
- Uploaded content: CVs, resumes, video resumes, profile media, job posts, applications, saved jobs and job alert preferences.
- Communication and marketplace data: interview schedules, application-linked messages, enquiries, quotes and booking requests.
- Administrative and verification data: company verification details, audit entries, moderation records and support communications.
- Technical data: browser storage, session data, device information, log data, usage data and cookies or similar technologies, where applicable.
2. How we use your information
We use personal data for the following purposes:
- To create and manage accounts
- To provide recruitment and job-search services
- To match candidates with vacancies
- To enable applications and recruiter communication
- To schedule and manage interviews
- To process marketplace enquiries, quotes and booking requests
- To verify company accounts and maintain platform trust and safety
- To provide AI-assisted search, extraction and matching features
- To improve platform functionality, performance and user experience
- To detect, prevent and investigate fraud, abuse and security incidents
- To comply with legal, regulatory and audit obligations
3. Legal basis and consent
Where required under the DPDP Act, we process personal data on the basis of user consent, contractual necessity, legitimate platform operations, compliance with law and other lawful grounds permitted under applicable Indian law.
For any processing that requires consent, we will seek consent in a clear and understandable manner. You may withdraw consent where applicable, subject to legal and operational limitations.
4. Visibility and access
Profile visibility: Your search visibility depends on your profile settings, account preferences and interactions with recruiters or companies. Setting your profile to hidden does not withdraw information already shared through prior applications or communications.
CVs and video resumes: These are stored privately. Access is limited to you, app administrators and authorised recruiters at companies to which you have applied.
Messages and interview records: These may be reviewed by the candidate, relevant company recruiters, app administrators and the app owner where needed for support, compliance, moderation or dispute resolution.
Vacancies and marketplace listings: Active vacancies and enabled marketplace listings may be visible within the Platform.
Enquiries: Enquiries may be visible to the sender, listing owner and administrators.
Verification badges: Company verification badges do not disclose private verification records to the public.
5. AI processing
We may use AI-based processing to analyse CV content, vacancy text or search requirements to extract information, identify professions or skills and suggest matches. Please note:
- AI-generated outputs may be inaccurate or incomplete.
- You should review and verify all AI-generated suggestions.
- AI matching does not grant new access to private documents.
- You should not upload content unless you have the right to share it.
6. Sharing of information
We may share personal data only as necessary for the operation of the Platform and in the following situations:
- With recruiters and companies relevant to your profile or application
- With service providers supporting hosting, authentication, storage, messaging, analytics and AI processing
- With administrators for support, moderation, compliance and fraud prevention
- With legal, regulatory or government authorities when required by law or valid legal process
- With other persons where you have given consent or directed us to do so
7. Storage, cookies and external services
The Platform may use browser storage, authentication sessions, secure file storage, hosting providers, AI processing services and analytics tools, where enabled. These services may be operated by us or by third-party service providers.
Non-essential analytics or cookie choices should be separately reviewed and disclosed, where applicable.
8. Data retention
We retain personal data only for as long as necessary for account management, recruitment and marketplace operations, security and fraud prevention, audit and compliance, dispute resolution and legal obligations.
Some data may be retained after account deletion where required by law, for compliance, audit, security or operational reasons.
9. Account deletion
Account deletion is available under Account, subject to confirmation. Please download any records you wish to retain before deletion.
Reporting and Complaints
For bugs, suspicious listings, or complaints, please use the relevant reporting option or support guide provided in the app.
- Do not include passwords, OTPs, bank details, or other financial credentials in any report or complaint.
10. Your rights under the DPDP Act
Subject to applicable law, you may have the right to:
- Obtain a summary of your personal data being processed
- Know the identities of data fiduciaries and data processors with whom your data has been shared, where applicable
- Correct, complete or update your personal data
- Request erasure of personal data, subject to lawful retention requirements
- Access an effective grievance redressal mechanism
- Nominate another individual to exercise your rights in the event of death or incapacity, where applicable
Duties under the DPDP Act
The DPDP Act also places duties on data principals, including the duty to provide authentic information, avoid impersonation, avoid false grievances and comply with applicable law.
11. Grievance redressal

Do not include passwords or full identity documents in your complaint or request.
12. Security
We use reasonable technical and organisational safeguards to protect personal data from unauthorised access, alteration, disclosure or destruction. However, no method of transmission or storage is fully secure, and absolute security cannot be guaranteed.
13. Children's privacy
The Platform is not intended for use by children unless permitted under applicable Indian law and only with the required verifiable consent. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children in violation of applicable law.
14. Changes to this privacy policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The updated version will be posted on the Platform with a revised effective date. Continued use of the Platform after such updates constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
